Our Dream house Phase V : Tiles & Plaster Ceiling

Ok after completing the wiring and skimming, now it's turn to survey for tiles for the kitchen area. Since we extended the kitchen area and hack existing tiles (both floor and wall), we will need to source for new design for wall and floor tiles.

We went to alot of tiles shop (but most of them in Klang) to survey the price and also the available designs for selection. Frankly, we do not have idea at all on what designs and pattern for our kitchen. Just try out luck in trial and error in matching. If it match, then it match. If it doesn't, then also need to accept. =.="""

We also spent alot of times sourcing for our existing tiles which used by the developer. We manage to get the code and thankfully, it's from White Horse, a common brand. I guess it would be easier for us to source for most closest design and pattern.

White House Showroom at Taman Sentosa. Good for those who need to source for samples or to get the same design for White Horse.

The hole also tile-up.

Finally, everything has settled down

After so many months (not many la... around 2 months) of renovation, our sweet house seems to looks like a house now, instead of ant house.. lolx!

Long story cut-short, we have been in numerous furniture malls, furniture show room and expos to looks for suitable furnitures for our small nest.

Being humble, let me show you little bit abou tmy small nest. :)

I have gotten the help from my dad (who experts in making glass thingy) to build the sliding door to separate my kitchen and dining room.you know well, don't want the smelly burning smell to flow outs from the kitchen.

And thanks to Dad and brother Alan, as they did a great job! ThAanks!

Before & After the sliding door

Next thing, the coffee table / side table. Originally we plan to get coffee table for our small living hall, but I think better to get a side table because by putting a coffeee table will make our small living room even smaller wtf..

So after search for sometime, we got this side table at RM400. Very thick glass with stainless steel leg and modern-look design. Naice or not? :)

Side table

Next will be the TV and also the TV cabinet. After searching for sometime, we decided to get LED TV, as many people claimed that LED TV is the most least power consumption TV type. And the price not that verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry expesive, so we bought SAMSUNG LED 40" at RM1,500.

Other than the TV, we also need a TV cabinet as well, as we had placed the TV on the floor for at least 2 weeks Hahahah! So finally we found the nice design at VONZA Gallery at RM900. Ok la, not that expensive nia isn't? @_@

Samsung TV and TV Cabinet

Next thing will be the dining table, another headache thing. Those cheap table that we found at small/average furniture shop (such as Cavenzi, Bahagia, Wescourt) looks so cheap, looks like will collapsed anytime soon. Of course, the range of the price for those cheap dining table is really cheap , like RM199, RM299 for 6 seaters table.

Then we try to look higher range of dining table, but we got shocked when looking at the price when it ranges from RM1,500-RM3000! Wtf! So expensive meh~

That's totally out of our budget already, and we continue to search and survey. FINALLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY we manage to find an affordable, modern design and not so cheapo quality one. WE found it at COURTS, Shah Alam where the price is at RM499 for 6 seaters and RM999 for 8 seaters. And most importantly, I've tried to sit on the chair (putting all my weight to ensure it won't fall after few trials) and also tested by pushing and try to swing the table left and right.

Ok, so far so good, and there is goes! We goes by installment for this one since there is 0% installment free for MaybankCard Holder. Why not? :)

After settling dining table, let's move to another hero  "Sofa". Again, we are trying to look for sofa either by fabric or leather. Our minds keep on changing from leather to fabric, from fabric to leather, and finally choosen fabric. Aduhhhh~~~ So freaking dizzy when different shops saying different things ;

Shop 1 : Leather not good de, alot of shop recommend you genuine leather but infact they are casa leather/rebond leather.

Shop 2: Fabric not good de! very hard to maintain and the quality normally not good one.. and it's very hot de..

Shop 3: You won't be able to get such price for leather already at other place. I will not cheat you one! giving you the best quality at this price already one!

See, different people, different mouth saying different thingy!!!

Anyway, we finally drop by to a shop where Vincent's brother bought their sofa from. Oh ya, just for history, his brother also just bought a house at Sri Gombak, and he is in the midst of renovating his house. So we normally exchange ideas on where to get electical cheaper, which furniture better, bla bla bla bla..

And we went to Kinrara Furniture Mall at Puchong, The Bedz Collection, where we were offered with a catalogue for the design. Frankly, the price not so cheap as to compare with out options earlier, but considering his brother fully recommending this, and they claimed they are giving the best quality in terms of fabric, and most importantly we are freaking tired to look around already. So we settled our sofa with Brenda, the lady boss of this shop, at rice of RM2,700.
Our L-shaped sofa with spacious and BIGGGG day bed, which can fit 2 adults  or 3 small sizes adults.

Next the electrical, our washing machine. Thanks to Vincent's mom for sponsoring us this, we manage to get little bit better one. We opt for Toshiba 9.5 KGS washing machine, considering Toshiba is the old-fehmes brand for washing machine, which know for it's longevity! hahaha!
We bought this washing machine at RM945.

Next electrical is the water heater (to be place in master bathroom). We always wanted the nice-look one (ok, me not Vincent =.=). So we found this Alpha Smart 18i at the price of RM530, and this is with pump most importantly. Now i know water heater with pump is such usefull, as I tried to bath without switching on the water heater, and the water is flowing like i peeing only. Maybe I pee is more powerful than it (when I pee once a day!) hahahahah!
But a thing to regret is, after bought this at a electrical shop at Puchong, somehow, I manage to survey another price lower for another RM50, this means I can buy this at RM480 insetad of RM530! wtf!!! I should wait and buy from the later electrical shop instead, never know never know. So, for those who want to buy, buzz me for the shop name. :)

Alpha Smart 18i.
Next thing is the cabinet, the most important and most costly furniture among all. After few rounds of bargaining and surveying, we finally settled down with Everskill, after manage to reduce the price and get some free gift such as Dish Rack, Bottle Rack and spoon tray.

The total damage for 17.5' (base) X 9.5' (wall) is at RM3,880 for melanine board and some sof cling for frosted door.
Wet cum Dry Kitchen Cabinet

To furnish little bit out dull and empty living hall, we bought this stool cum storing case from Courts @ RM99 when they are doing the Raya Promotion.

Ok, after listing fo many furniture, finallly with these little thingy, we can move in and live normal (where we can sleep, we can cook, we can bath, we can wash clothes, we can sit) hahahahah!
