The journey of TSL Family begin~

Hi world, it's been long time since I ever pens down anything about our relationship in this blog.

I will try my best to recoup my desire in blogging, the passion in blogging anythingggggggggggg that is happening in my routine. I still remember I used to blog about my daily activities, my work, my feeling, my lover, my family, you named it, you get it!

And I guess now will need to add another category for my blogging category, "my small family" with newly 2 members addition.  Introducing my eldest daughter, Ellysia Tang Shin Le, 26 months & Valerynn Tang Shin Lynn, 7 months.

I still couldn't believe that I am a mother of 2 now, after 4 years of my marriage with beloved hubby, Vincent. Tying our knot at year of 29th September (ohhh~ another week is our 4th years anniversary...) . Some of you may say "Wow, that's fast to settle with kids even after 4 years".

Yah, seriously, I also think it's quite fast, but what happen has happened. Let's cherish this, and me for being a mother of 2 at age of 32, it's somehow a bless, so when I'm 50 yrs old, my kids already 20yrs++. Isn't that good, so I could enjoy more of "ME" time with my old-kiak-kiak husband that time? Haha!

The arrival of Ellysia
Let's rewind the moment back 26 months back, when Ellysia Tang was born at Columbia hospital. I still remember, being a new mummy, I'm still clueless on how a delivery should / will be, despite I have been reading many of the related article / forum way much earlier before that.

I do not know how contraction will be, most of the people says, it's exactly like Menstrual Pain (MP) that women experiences during menstruation. Just the differences is the pain may be 10 or 20 times more pain as usual pain. In which I totally could not imagine at all, how it should feel.

I do not know how long the labor pain will be, as many mummies experiences long hours before the baby really popped out. My eldest sister admitted for 36 hours before the  baby decided to come out, and I was like, "are you serious?! 36 hours, its like close to 3 days?".

I do not know how much the bill will gonna cost me, as I know the standard should be around 4k-5k in which already much enough to korek a big hole from our saving. That is why I will not want to have any , like any medication at all, to reduce the potential spike up on our bill, from our expected budgeted amount.

I do not know how Vincent will react when to be in the labor room with me, watching the bloody hell me from delivering the baby. Some people says their husband may get phobia for seeing the moment. I'm ready to take this risk, and hope he won't scare after that.

Despite having so many "I do not know....", we just go ahead and pop the baby. Based on what I could recall (oiii~ sudah 26 months away, some memory faded away ahahahh), I decided to be induced despite I only 1 cm dilated, mainly because I have dued at 39 weeks, and based on my "placenta classification Stage I" I will be induced at week 40 anyway.

So just decided to go ahead, and 'force' the baby out at week 39. The insertion of Pitocin to my vagina started about 1pm (after being admitted), and continue stays at ward room walking non stop until 6pm. The doctor checked on the dilation, and it's only dilated to 2 cm.. wtf! I was like wtf, after so many hours, I only dilated 1 cm! (*&^%$#@#$%^&*

Then the doctor asked me, whether I wanted to put another pitocin for induction, then I say, let's see another few hours. Mainly, additional pitocin means additional money!! #moneyfliessaway #kiamElaine

So continue to walk and walk and walk, and all out of sudden around 8pm, I heard a loud "POP!" sound from my bottom area. And I can sense the water is flowing out fast, and the most scary wave coming in. I have started strong contraction with the gap of 2-3 minutes once.

Immediately, I walked back to the labor room, and the midwife confirmed my water bag has burst. There goes my night mare , for knowing how it felt on what is contraction. That's the moment, when you couldn't even say a word, when the contraction kicks in. I contracted for straight 4 hours++, and dilated to 8-9cm about 1250pm.

The contraction feeling really not play play de... coz when it came, my whole body shivers non-stop and couldn't make a move or speak a word, and wish to beat / punch my stomach to stop the pain.  Me myself also couldn't do anything about it, apatah lagi for Vincent who can only watch by my side, trying his best to massage and comfort me by hugging me throughout the contraction. There was one moment I push his body / hand away, asking him NOT TO TOUCH ME (the more he touch me, the more pain I am, ya.. that's how sensitive a women who are in damn shit pain during contraction can behave! DONT MESS WITH ME!)

The feeling of contraction not only the feeling of menstrual pain (stomach pain) , but also the urge of releasing the pee /poo most of the time. I felt wanted to go toilet to pee / poo, but ended I did not manage to get anything. I remember, I went to the toilet like every 5-10 minutes, just because I felt better after seated on the toilet bowl.

There is one visit, it ended with bleeding flowing out , and leak down towards my thigh and leg. That's when I got strapped back to the bed, not allowing to stand or move, and just contracting while lying on the bed. Contracting while laying on the bed is the most bad position , as you will felt pain all over the back and buttock / hip, and u cannot turn flexibly and need to stand the pain every 2-3 minutes. Everytime when the contraction started, I will yell at Vincent, "LAI LIAOOO! (coming in), LAI LIAOOOOO!!! Please help.. OMG!". However, as I said, nothing much Vincent could do, but just to stare looking at me emotionless and helpless.

Throughout this session, I was being offered for the drug (I couldn't remember the name - but it's a drip for fasten the dilation process I pressume), by the midwife. But being rejected constantly from me. #kiamMummy #swearforDruglessDelivery

I also being offered a drug known as 'Laughing Gas'. However, I opt for this as I remember May mentioned that this gas is not expensive to opt for. However, I found this gas not help much in reducing the pain or fasten the dilation. I just remember I keep on sniffing the gas non-stop but still feel the pain.

Ok la.. let's fast forward to 1250pm, when midwife has confirmed I has dilated aboout 9cm, then she call upon the gynae to sambut my baby.  I was so relief when see the gynae, thinking in my heart, finally, I'm ready and I can end this suffer very very very soon, because I believe she will help to get her out!

However, the torture not ending yet, as despite of how hard I tried to push, Ellysia still reluctant to come out (ok should not blame her! she is innocent! hahha). Mainly I think I'm lacking of knowledge on how to push the baby out (Helo! I'm first time mummy ok, not know is absolutely normal!). But, now I know the mistakes that I have done, in which is using too much energy to push WHEN IS NOT BEING contracted. I scream and yell all the way, every since the doctor ask me to push for the 1st time. Imagine, how exhausted I am. The secret is ONLY TO PUSH when it is contracted, and refill the energy when it's not contracted.

Not only that, I also quite stress during the contractions, stress until like I said, wanted to punch squeeze every possible things that i can grab. Be it Vincent's hand, pillow, bed rail, wall, name it! But it's also wrong, as this will not allow you to relax and impact the dilation period.

I have tried to push for about 10 minutes, and still fail to push her out. Out of no choice, the gynae offered to "help", and at that moment , the moment when I have running out of energy and voice (when I'm clueless what's going on, too stress to think), I accepted and say "OK!"

Then she starts explaining to Vincent that she is going to use a tool for 'Vacumm Extraction (VE)' to suck the baby head out. Then the midwife unwrap the new vacumm tool and put into the vagina and suck the baby out. Within less than few minutes, I felt the large stone being removed from my body (the feeling is like when you manage to pop the stubborn pimple!). She is out! She is finally out with the help of the vacumm and the 'good' thing about that vacum is.. it definitely help alot, so I no nede to push anymore.

The 'coolest' thing about the vacumm is that it COST US RM700 for that few minute suction of SHUANG moment! That's the story on how Ellysia being delivered naturally! She was born at the weight of 3.12kg with the height / length of 50cm.

The arrival of Valerynn
Let's rewind the moment to 7 months back (aww, this one still fresh in mind!), to mesmerize the up and down moments delivering Valerynn.

Valerynn is 38 weeks that time, when I has scheduled for checkup. 

The labor journey started when I notice some little wet on my panty, in which being a non experiences mother who never sees water bag liquid before (not even during my first pregnancy), are not so sure it's water bag leakage, vaginal surcharge, urine or just purely sweat. 😅 

So schedule for a day earlier checkup

Thought of just coming for regular checkup when we tried to reach abit earlier for number registration. FYI, we only late 10mins for number registration and we gotten 15! Crazy. Normally we gotten top 5 one (thanks to hubby who purposely wakes up at 530am, crawl with half awake eyes to hospital to queue for number).

So in my heart I was thinking, surely take us long before reaching our turns. So I attempt to play cheat yo... By telling the nurse that I suspect water bag leakage.

Despite in fact I'm not so sure if it's leakage. 😂 maybe it memang just sweat!

So the nurse quickly said, send me to do the CTG to monitor the baby heart beat and contraction frequency and wanted send me to LABOR room. Then I was thinking "oh shit, am I making the right move???"

Then everything continues with the flows when doctor came and suggested to an early induce since my baby is ready to be out from Owen anyway (she already week 38).

Then the dilemma of discussing "induce or not induce" between Vincent and I. Took us a while to get to a conclusion because we had some worries that the induction may /may not works that might be ended with C-Sect! #killmeifitdoes #expensive

So, we finally decided to chiong ahhhh!!! Go with it, and trust my instinct that I can push it through #firstexperience

And since I have not even dilate more than 3cm, I can only be given the table prostin for induce. I was given around 10am++.

And wait wait for 4 hours, and surprisingly I had dilated to 4cm when doctor came to check around 2pm. I'm so happy la! Because last time I took me 7 hours to dilate to 3cm only. #jumpinghappily #goodstartMonkeyyear

Then continue being given the drip to speed up the dilation... And then the real contractions starts to kicks in.. Quite pain as the frequency of each one is in less than 2 mins. I was being offered for another pain killer cum cervics softening drug called "petidin"

This drug meant to gives us the drowsy feeling (meant for relaxing up the muscles and cervics so the donations can kicks in faster).

At first I was quite skeptical on this drug, and keep on rejecting it saying that I may or can sustain the pain though fully dilation. Of course at the same time, I'm worry on the cost of the injection, so I keep on telling the midwife "I can I can tahan, but maybe u can check for me the price of it first" #memangsibehkiammummy

So ended she came back

And tells me the injection will cost at RM30.50 ... Some more quote "ONLY" after that.. Hahahaha.. Surely this midwife is thinking and cursing "this mummy really Sibeh calculative and kiam! "

So after knowing the price of this, so just give it a shot la, since so cheap. Vincent who originally freaking worry also turns his standpoint and said "oh, so cheap ah... Then get it la, alang alang few thousands for the cost of delivery Liao". #funnyhusband #askiamasmummy

But all of these only happens after 1hour and 30mins, and quess what??? I did not even dilated 1 single Cm... WTF! #painfornothing

OK, continue the story after being given the petidin injection. Everything has changed, whereby I started to feel sleepy and drowsy. So I automatically fall asleep (half asleep la) when there is no contraction and yah as explain this makes me relax and rest during the 1-2minutes internal.

Only when the contraction kicks in, I need to wake myself up.

And sustain the pain for another 1-2minutes, then continue to sleep. And this continues from 4pm until I deliver.

And in a blink of eyes, I started to feel the pooing moments and I heard the midwife keep on saying 5-6cm already...

Then few more contractions, "can call doctor already". Then then.. Ya... I can't wait to push her out already...

When the doctor arrives, everyone gets ready for the final pushes to get the baby out.

SO everything is ready, apa lagi.. Push lo!

1st push - I try think positively that I could poop her out by one breath.. But couldn't have enough stamina so half way cut through even before the baby crowning. Sigh. The baby just crawl back inside.

2nd push - this time surprisingly I manage to push it through until the baby crowns and continues with 2nd breath to push the rest of her body. And pooped!!!

Once baby is out, Valerynn being brought to my arms and everything just like a dream.. And when Valerynn resting on my chest, I'm still thinking and wondering "that's it? It's all over? I'm done? " #stillunbelievable

I'm so happy.. Ya it ended so smoothly... When everything just went so smoothly...

No vacum like last time (in which cost us freaking 700 add on for the bill), just because mummy couldn't pushes.
No laughing gas since being replace by the petidin.. 

Then Valerynn being brought to side table for quick suction and cleaning before brought over to my chest again.

And yes, I knows it's for real and I can rest liao.. ☺

And here we are as parent again for our 2nd princess, Valerynn Tang Shin Lynn. She was born on 19th Feb 2016, at the weight of 2.98kgs and height of 47cm.

Happy Birthday 2013 Celebration

Tadaaaaaaa… Time passing so fast…Without realizing, it’s time for another birthday planning again for my beloved best friend, lover and hubby. It’s 30th August again, and it’s time for me to crunch my brain juice again to think of what I could do to surprise him so hopefully he could enjoy his lovely day, and cherish it for long. Still fresh in my mind on how I planned for his continuously 3 years birthday since year of 2010 follows by 2011 and last one on 2012 birthday. Isn’t it fast that now it’s the 4th year to celebrate his birthday since the day we started as colleague, then as couple, then as friends, lover, then finally now officially celebrating his 4th year birthday as wife!

Celebrated his birthday as colleague/friends/lover for year 2010/2011, then as fiancée for year 2012 (after he proposed to me), and this year as wifey (after we registered). The milestone is so remarkable on how we could spend the time, spend the every precious years, every years! *excited excited*

Ok, let’s back to the preparation for this year. Unfortunately, this year are the year without the help from my buddies (sad T_T), so I will need to do all the arrangement myself. I have started to plan since 2 weeks ago, started with the gift preparation, and the rest of the props needed to SURPRISE HIM, ALONE this year.. (sad T_T again).

1) Gift Preparation – I know he will need this, mainly because all his watches are out of battery and still yet to find time to change the battery at affordable price. At few point of time, he is wearing a watch which is not operating just for the sake of wearing it…Awwwwww… So pity isn’t it? So I’ve decided to get him a watch, a watch that can make him get back the feeling of wearing watch which is operating well! Hahahahah! So I dropped by Setia City Mall, City Chain during lunch someday and after few shops survey, finally gotten him this watch SEIKO watch at RMXXX.XX. LOLX!!

2) Photo preparation – Then proceed to decide to pick some photos that need to be printed, mainly used to recap out memories from Spansion, traveling together, joining families event and finally getting married! After quick selection, manage to get some photos for printing at nearby shop. This photos will be hang under the flying balloons which supposed to float in our room. These photos will be numbered so he could go through it one by one, mesmerizing our memories, hopefully to recall our spark of life being together gather for many man years.

3)      Balloon preparation – Gosh! This is challenging as I will need to think a way to travel the helium balloon from shop to home, and most importantly without him NOTICING IT despite of him being in the house with the balloons!!!!! So damn challenging right? Hahahaha! But, me being so creative enough surely will be able to think a way, some way. *being arrogant!* Ok, back to where to purchase the balloons, I have made few surveys hopefully to get it from nearest place as possible to my office so I could get it as fastest as I can after work. Finally, found a shop in Setia City Mall , “Wonder Shop” – the same level of GSV cinema, which is selling all party props (thank GOD!). So on Thursday lunch, I made my way to the shop to pre-order the balloon, in total of 10 colourful balloons at the cost of RM4.60 each (oh gosh! So expensive huh for a balloon!) The reason why those are so freaking expensive because of the additional of liquid which used to make the helium balloon stands longer.

I will need these balloons to keep on floating for at least 12 hours, why? You will know by continuing reading… Originally a normal helium balloon cost at RM3.10, and with the addition of the freaking liquid, it adds up of additional of RM1.50 per piece, that make up RM4.60 in total per piece, with the total of RM46 for 10 balloons! *eye rolling up and down*  These balloons will be the props that used to hang all the memories photos selected and printed in prior to this. 

The staff pumping the balloons one by one while me waiting impatiently, worry not enough time to prepare everything.. *cipat la oiii hahahh!*

After I collected these balloons by end of the day, I will hide them in the toilet upstairs (why toilet?) mainly because he or we rarely visited that toilet for ‘business’. I hope he won’t do it either at least until the next morning. Ok, balloons preparation checked.

4)      Fruit cake preparation  - After selling the gift and balloons, it’s time to get something for his birthday cake. Throughout the years, I’m getting him cupcakes, jelly cakes or normal RT cake. I would like to make some special arrangement in making cake his year. And I recalled I saw something on fruit cake, REALLLLLLLLLLLL fruit cake which made of 100% fruit, and tadaaaaaa! That comes the idea on the cake, and zooommmmmm I went to get some fresh ingredient for the cake.  Basically, the ingredients for the cake will be like this, hopefully it will work out to a great nice fruit cake, as the same the photo.

5)      Birthday gift treasure hunt  - I also made some initiative to make the gift little bit special for him, whereby to prepare the treasure hunt for him to look for the gift. The first clue will be started from one of the clue hang at the balloons.. Clue for the presents :

• DIY-sticker fridge - A place where we stick all of milestone – a cool place to stick all our sweet memories & place all the ice cream potong
• ROM photo album - The first photo album printed, which mark our remarkable 29^th September
• Drawer storing can food - A place where the cockroaches sleep, makes us always get shocked, every time cook for our dinner
• Clothes hanging area - A place where both of us used to get sweat together every twice a week, me on the chair, u on the floor.
• Upstairs 2^nd bedroom toilet – a place where we rarely or never used, but only sometime when there is a guest
• One of the Tanglung outside the door – “There is a pair of us, the owner put me up very high on Chinese New Year and never remove me since then”
• Below bed cosy area – A place where we can sleep together gather watching tv, hugging each other – that’s the speciality of buying it
• Behind Hand-drawn photo (VTSL &  ETSL) – A special birthday gift from wife on my 2012’s birthday

Then started to hide all the clues around, preventing him from seeing it... Of course without him noticing it during the hiding process. HAHAHA! Ok, all are checked and it's time to share some funny moment during the setup.

The first surprise in throwing him surprise with the customized DIY cake when he back from his badminton session on the night. To make it real surprise, I decided to hide in the room with all lights switched off, then proceed to check out from the house to drive my car to the backyard to hide my car, and I will come in from the back door. Unfortunately, i ARMED my alarm unexpectedly and unconsciously. And once I open the back door.. KRINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! the freaking loud alarm rang/! OMaigat.... I'm so nervous and keep yelling to myself 'Stupid stupid, u so stupid Elaine!' hahahah! I'm sure Vincent will get the alarm call to his phone for maybe 2-3 seconds. Hopefully nothing is burst, and I continue to hide into the room wait for his arrival.

Thinking in my heart, keep on praying "Please don't attempt to catch or beat the thief using a baseball stick! AMIN!". And after a while, he open his door and quickly I jumped out from the room before he started to act violently. Hahahaha! He is surprised and I'm happy!

2nd surprise for the big day is the balloon preparation. After we off to doze off at night around 12pm, I'm trying to find a chance to 'seludup' the balloon into the room. I woke up around 4am, quietly went out of the room and bringing the the balloons very quietly. Goddamnit, the string all are strangled and i will need to clear it off one by one which take me sometime. Can you imagine my feeling of worrying he will woke up ann saw what I'm doing in light off.  Finally, all the balloons are up on the ceiling, direct on top of his head.

When I was about to back to bed and continue my sleeping, ALL OF SUDDEN, VIncent turn to me and say "the air cond very cold (with eye closed), and after few seconds, he open his eyes and saw all the balloons on the ceiling, and said "WTF! what are those!!?". I keep quiet all the times, and finally after rubbing his eyes, he finally figures out they are balloons and the culprit is ME! hahahahh! But can you imagine the feeling of worry and scare what are those! LOLX! Anyway, he was surprised and we continue to doze off until the next morning, and started with the camwhoring..

Continue with the finale surprise for the day, "Finding the Gift" treasure hunt. Started with the first clue, in total of 8 clues for hims to look for, finding the gift after finding 8 clues in total.
