Early today is my brother's BIG DAY whereby conducted a simple tea ceremony for our new family member, Viki.
This ceremony just a simple tea ceremony cum dinner cum gathering for all my close family relatives, at the same time to celebrate this happy day.
When it's time for tea ceremony, everyone are taking their turn to be serve with tea by my youngest brother and my sister in law. Begin with my parents, my auntie uncle, my eldest brother, follows by with my older sisters. Finally, when it reach my turn, then Vincent was called to be part of it as well.
You know well, he yet to be officially to be his brother in law (one more week to go) hahahaha! Anyway, never imagine that I will have my partner in giving "Ang Pao" together gather, I mean being the senior to be serve by tea instead of us serving our eldest.
I bet Vincent also never imagine to be part of my family especially when it involve traditional ceremony, being called "Lai (smallest) che fu = smallest brother in law". Why smallest? Because I'm Alan's youngest older sister, with that Vincent will be called as "lai" as well! Hahahha! So weird leh~ I mean the nickname... Just like when I'm not sure what "E-Poh" means or "Kam-po" means to me, in term of family organization chart.

To continue with the preparation for our ROM Part I, Part II & Part III (so many of them and still in preparation by now), here is the latest preparation for our ROM, Part IV :)
Ok, let's begin.
Attire for him and her
The next thing that we need to prepare is our attire, complete attire for the special day. For who is following us, I had manage to get my ROM dress (with BIGGGGGGGGG purple ribbon) but Vincent have not get any yet for now, as he is very "yim chim" in choosing the attire. LOLX!!
But I swear I must get him at least a decent shirt and matching tie soon, as worry it will be too late to get it at last weekend before our actual day. So I fast fast grab him to Sunway Pyramid last Monday, to get the neccessary props. Not to forget to get my accessories as well :)

Hand Bouquet
Another must-to-have thing for ROM is the hand bouquet for my ROM. I started to survey few florist shop, and suprisngly the price for each bouquet is SUPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR expensive. Wtf! average is about at RM100 per bouquet.
But of course the bouquet is super nice from the picture.

But after considering budget constraints, I decided to DO IT YOURSELF (DIY)! :) And it seems to really easy to DIY one after viewed few videos on the net. Let's see the result of DIY on actual day hahahah!
Lunch for ROM for families and friends
Another headache part is getting the restaurant to serve our beloved guest. Originally thought to search for resturant nearby Putrajaya for its distance. But unfortunately, there ain't many choices there limited by hotels, and few seafood restaurants.
After getting some from Vincent's brother, then we look for a little far to Dengkil, next to Putrajaya. Then he proposed few chinese restaurant and a Nyonya restaurant. But somehow, it's quite far for to travel there for choosing menu and look at the environment.
After few rounds of googling (Mr Google), then we decided to look at nearby Puchong area. And there come the valueable opinions from Hui Juin to drop by at this restaurant, famous with it's Paper wrapped chicken, Yam Basket, Yong Tau Fu, LEONG AH Restaurant.
With that, we went there last Monday to look at the menu choices and the environment. After telling the boss on our budget, then we choosen 7 dishes to be serve for the day, not a luxurious lunch but I think it's ok (hopefully).
Then proceed to look at the venue, we choose 2nd floor to be the venue as 1st floor are too pack & crowded. The staircase not that favourable, but once we reach the the top floor it seems not that bad laaaaaaaaaaaaa... :)
Fuhhh~~ What else need to prepare ah? *keep on thinking thinking thnking** So nervous leh~ Let me know what else I need to prepare *so kan chiong***
This year is the 3rd year where I'm celebrating birthday with Vincent, my lover, soon to be hubby *blekkk*
For every year, I will try my best to throw him surprises regardless it's the surprises from the gift, the dinner, the event or how I should be celebrating his birthday.
Year 2010
I still remember the 1st year, where we just started to hold our hand, 2 months from our first day, I'm trying to throw him surprise by taking 1/2 day leave just to make it for the celebration lunch with him. In fact, I had requested his colleagues to bring him out for a lunch outside (nearby Kota Kemuning), so I could surprise him by turning out with a cake on my hand (isn't that sweet?). Unfortunately, I had bump into accident while in the way to Kota Kemuning from my office, and I'm stuck at police station until the end of the day. Sighhh~~
Thankfully, I did plan for the dinner as well and also the surprise gift for him on his 1st year birthday celebration with me. Year 2011
Then come 2nd year, 2011 where I plan even earlier than first year. I throw him a surprise party with my chums and buddies by bringing him "secretly" to Putrajaya for a quick couple photoshoot, which I had bought 3 months ago.
I want to make his birthday memorable and of course to be cherish and remembered forever. That's why I decided to engage a professional photographer to capture our special moments. Proven I had make the right decision, and it did captured all the sweet memories. I still felt so happy seeing our celebration.
I still remember, how I fold-blinded him all the way (while I drive to Putrajaya) and usher him to the park with the help of my buddies. It was so special and I think I did it! LOLX! *happy*

Year 2012
Now this year, a year to be remembered where this year will be last year where I will be celebrating with him as his "girlfriend". Hahaha! Of course the treatment as boyfriend is more as compare to husband! HAHAHAHAH! No la, just the responsibilities as wife is different when it comes to surprises.
Anyway, back to this year surprise, it really a challenge for me this year ; why? ;
i) I'm away for business trip (at Genting) for his birthday . Yes, on his actual birthday day 30th August 2012.
ii) I have no time to do anything especially getting him personalized or special gift because too busy with alot of things, work, house, ROM, etc...
With above challenge, my job work load make me more headache when I need to think something good or better than last year celebration. I have been searching for some personalized gift, such as photo puzzle, photo caricature, model caricature, etc but all need time for delivery,whereby I only have less than 3 weeks for preparation.
To prepare the gift, I decided to get the caricature (hand-drawn caricature) from Genting since I'm away to Genting for business trip a week before his birthday. The effort of this, after the meeting and dinner ended at 10:00pm, and I proceed to First World and stand for 45 minutes waiting for my turn to draw the photo of me and Vincent. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, I manage to get the caricature done :) Gift, CHECKED!!

Being me, who like to throw surprise, I decided to do a slideshow which document our up and down as pre-birthday gift while waiting for the BIG surprise when I'm back. I present this gift to him through Facebook ^_^
While on the surprise, considering I will only be back on night on his actual birthday, I can't do much to surprise him. But thanks to my group of friends, who willing to help, we had come up with the plan to decorate our house while he is away to fetch me. Thanks to Donna on her idea, and yes we manage to surprise him ( I guess) :) Thanks to Tobby, we also manage capture the moment on video and I had made a special MV for this moment.
In prior to that, I need to pass the house spare keys to June who stay nearby so they could come in to decorate house without him noticing it. Next thing, I need Tobby and Donna's help to collect the Jelly cake which I've ordered online a week ago.
Something funny happen on that night, while I was dragging Vincent's time having dinner somewhere nearby, June called me saying ;
June : "Elaine, we're at your house but we couldn't get in!"
Elaine : "Why???"
June : "The spare key that you gave to us does not have the key for the wooden door to go into your house"
Elaine : *speechless******* And further to request "Can you come and collect from me here at XXXXXX"
June : "Ok" & Zoooooooooooooommm to drive to my dinner place.
But however, another headache I need to think how to pass the key without letting Vincent know about this. By keep on thinking, "No way, I cannot failed this, cannot waste everyone effort!!" Then come to mind, to fake receiving a phone call and walk towards outside and dump the keys to June who is already waiting outside! Fuhhh~ Luckily, the innocent Vincent doesn't know or notice anything about it.
And finally, thanks to the effort despite of obstacles and challenges, we successfully surprise him when he about the enter the house!

Uhhhh.. it's September and now only posting an outdatedddddddddddd blog, veryyyyyyyyyyy
outdated post, "My Birthday" which fall on June, uhhhh~~~ 3 months
back! What to do, sort of busy with a lot of things recently, house, ROM,
cooking, etc etc(I know I know.. it’s
just an excuse) :p
Anyway, let’s recap the celebration of my birthday for this year. Started
with the cake cutting celebration at office, the typical tradition of IT INSIGHT
to buy cake (sometime or most of the time buying few cakes) for celebrating every-month-birthday
boys and gals.

However, 3 of us (June boys and gal : Izlan, Kok Haw & myself) only
entitled for 1 cake, I guess most probably company business not so good recently
and can only afford for 1 instead of 3. ***bleeekkkk****

BLOW BLOW BLOW! My first cake blowing for the year ...
In fact, manage to get a lot of birthday wishes from all of my families, colleagues
and friends from facebook. Really cherish all the wishes and thanks all for the
warm wishes! :)
Next, the celebration with my close friends, where we went to Sunway Giza
for a nice dinner. Originally, June manage to find this western restaurant
named “Kitchen (or something like that)” from the net few hours before our
dinner. So all of us (3 couples – Lim, Tang and Toh’s couple) rush to Sunway
Giza on Friday’s night after work.
Once all of us reach, and we started to look for the restaurant by looking
left and right by having the photo of the signboard as enlighten. *After 5-10
minutes turning head* Somehow, we found out that shop has been CLOSED, TUTUP,
BANCRUPT!! Aduhh~
No choice but needs to re-choose other restaurant, and with limited
restaurant at Sunway Giza, we choose D’Italiense-Kitchen, a western restaurant.
From external, it looks like a fine-dining western restaurant, and with this
assumption, I bet the price also “fine-dining-price!” *Fainted*
Suprisingly, the food menu not that very very very sibeh expensive, at
average of RM30-RM50 per main course (halo, we are expecting like above RM50
per main course ok!)
We proceed to order and while waiting, we photoshoot and camwhore la.. apa
lagi..~ So sweet of them whereby June and Donna bought something so
personalized or I should say so suit me well, considering I’m getting married soon
(ROM).
June & Meng Liang present to me the voucher she bought for printing
photos on hard covered-photo album. No wonder, she started to ask me whether I have
engaged a photographer for my Rom and whether the photographer prints the
photos taken on the event day. While Donna & Tobby present us ring-pillow
which I’ve been dying to get one. Been looking for it sine few months back, and
finally I got one now :) Thanks guys, you guys are the best!

We think might not enough with that, we decided to continue 2nd round nearby "WONG KONG CAFE" for our drinking session, most importantly WONG KOK is offering complimentary drink "GIANT MILKTEA for birthday gal/boy.
Unfortunately, with the condition of minimum purchase of RM30 and above to get the entitlement. Aduh, we just ate and full until neck and how are we going to order another RM30 worth of food??? After 15 minutes of scratching head and flipping menu, somehow we manage to pick 3 snacks to accommodate with the term & condition. >.< JUST FOR THE SAKE OF THE GIANT MILKTEA!! What a super duper Marketing GIMMICK and TRICK to cheat us in! hahaha!

Final round is the celebration with my dearest la of course, save the best for last! LOLX! He brought me to Chilis, Citta Mall for dinner. As usual, considering small eater us, we ordered one main course for twin-sharing and ordered the complimentary dessert for birthday gal/boy. I guess that's the reason why he choose Chilis, so he could save for buying birthday cake for me! Hahahahah! Nola, I know not, as I remembered there was a year where he bought a small (0.5 cake) for my birthday and ended we only ate a slice of it and the rest WASTED! Oh ya, reminded me it was at Chillis as well, as both of us were so full after the main course and dessert. So we learn the lesson this year, not because we are stingy ok!

As for the gift, he presented me purse (2 some more!!!). Ya I need new purse desperately, as my purse ae almost EOL end of life, whereby all the card-holder place glu has totally out of place. I have mumble to him since few months back and yet to get me one! Cis...!! *stomping leg!!*
Anyway, as bonus, he got me the frame with "I LOVE YOU" sign, something romantic I think. You know well, I just love the word "I LOVE YOU"!!
