Our Dream House Phase II : Start Renovation

Wow, since the writting of my house phase I, we have been busy running around to settle down our house matter, yet to have any times to document the progress and process accordingly. Hehehe!

Here are some of the photos which document the process of the overall renovation from nothing to something.

We started the renovation on 13th May 2012, you must be wondering how do we get this date. My auntie, Yen Mae recommended us to go a temple in PJ (very deep inside the housing area), where he always went for praying. Pay RM2-RM10 where you can get "someone obssessed by a GOD" to ask for anything. Vincent pay RM10 to ask for a suitable date to kick off the renovation date, while I pay RM10 to ask for my luck in lottery! HAHAHAH! No la.. Other than this, I also asked for my career whether is there any "wan san" in my working place : "he said : there is wan san anywhere! So must bear with it".. Aduh... Means ask also useless...  ahahhaah!

Anyway, we got the date and there we go on Sunday purposely to hump the door little bit, just to indicate that we have started the renovation.

HUMP HUMP!!! Jeng jeng jeng... here we started the renovation officially... officially from both us..
Why we started with backyard, because we decide to extend out kitchen :) Wolla!!! Can't wait to see it.
At first, our Indon-contractor (Ari) which we engaged after few comparison somehow to be the cheapest among others who quote us less than RM10,000 for the back extension, and suprisingly his plaster ceiling also appear to be the cheapest as well, less than RM3,000 for whole house plastering. *praying hard that his workmanship is NOTTTTTTTTTTTTT bad and aceptable level considering his cheapest rate among all - pray kuat kuat*

He started on 14th May 2012, Monday.. Started with the removal of the back gate and also made 3 big holes align with the drain. I was wondering what does the 3 holes is all about, then he explain it is used to bury all the "kayu bakau" underneath to ensure the ground is strong enough.

Can you see the holes?

Nearer close up vision... 3 holes align with each other.

And soon all these wood will be buried underneath the holes..

There you go with all the kayu bakau in the holes.. Some of my friend asked "why not steel but wood", and I said... Hmmmm... Because I don't plan for top floor extension, so kayu bakau is sufficient.

Another hole... I started to document all the hole to ensure I know how many kayu is inside the hole, so I can sue the Indon-contractor if my house somehow out of order.. CHOIIIIIIIIIII!!! Touch wood.. >.<

Next step.. He covered all the hole with cement.. and he has put some steep bar surrounding the edge with concrette cement. Ok at least I know he is using steel and adding concrette beam to the underneath.

Within a week, he has build the wall. Not bad.. fast isn't? :)

And babe start measuring the size...

Start taking and document out all the material that they used.. U know, just incase I want to build my house later..  hahahaha!

Full of materials.. and So afraid the thing will scratch my tiles T_T

Ok, let's move back, they build the beam above the window area, and build the window hole for the window frame.

They placed the frame for door as well.

Oh, and manage to snap how they twist the wire to strengthen the steel which used for beam at the back of kitchen.

Still got alot of things going on and stay tune :)

Preparation for ROM Part II

To continue with our preparation for ROM Part I.......

ROM Photo shoot
Finally after searching around, we manage to find affordable photographer for our ROM day for unlimited shot, and personal outdoor photo shooting! Cheap isn't? Of course, as we are looking for our family photographer, KB. KB took the photos for both my sisters, Stephanie and May for their pre-wedding &Wedding Dinner.

So I took the initiative to try my luck to ask the rate from him and surprisingly, it is the cheapest among all, and most importantly Vincent also think it is not that expensive. :) *HIGH FIVE*

ROM Official Date
For those who followed our initial ROM date, originally it was planned on 11th August 2012, which falls on the next closest date to our anniversary and which is fall on Saturday.

So we thought August is far from the actual date, 2 months before. Long isn't? So we plan to find the right date to go over to submit our application. So coincidence, both of us took leave on one of the Monday, so we go to submit the application.

We have decided to held the ceremony at JPN Putrajaya, so we went to JPN reaching around 8:00am.Manage to be the first one, but received a bad news
"The date you choose has been fully occupied!".. And I was what? We are like 2 months early, and the date was full? You gonna be kidding isn't?

Then the officer explained, they will only allow 5 couples for ceremony on weekend (Saturday). And unfortunately, the next available date is only on October. And I was like wtf again.. Huh?? October? Luckily I'm not in hurry to get register, U know well... not because of emergency to rush for wedding. Hahahahahah!!

And after a while, I started to calm down and said, Ohhh it's okay. Not a big deal anyway, as our actual wedding dinner will not fall in this year anyway. Lolx! Then we started to choose other date in October, most importantly checking Chinese lunar calendar whether it is suitable for wedding or not. Vincent started to call his mom to check on the "horse calendar" hahahaha!

It took us so long to confirm the date, so we gave our way to other couples/people who want to utilize the counter. After check and check again, the next date 6th October is not good for wedding, so we choose 13th October 2012 (also falls on my brother's birthday) hahahah! So he can remember the date on behalf of us, and remind Vincent just in case he forget. =.="

So we went to the counter again, and when she flipping the registration schedule booklet, I saw some empty rows in some of the pages, and requesting her to double confirm again whether is there any more slots for Saturday , which is earlier than October. You know, I'm quite "han ka de", so want to marry fast fast! lolx!

Then another suprise, she said "Got, 29th September still got one slot, you want?"... And again shock by her and I quickly ask Vincent to check with her mother again. Aduh.. So troublesome...in choosing a date.. Finally, yes the date is ok for wedding and taddaaa!! Our final ROM date choose to be on 29th September 2012. Yuhu~ Finally.. ~
Reaching JPN Putrajaya @ 8:00am
The officer filling our details
The counter
Our Registration form hehehehhe~
Confirmed date on 29th September 2012, Saturday
BAHAGIAN PERKAHWINAN .. Please ignore the divorce wording.. lolx

And they will post our photos here for 2 weeks (I think before the actual date, maybe)?
Us, on the day of the registration :)

Preparation for ROM Part 1

14th April 2012

Since the day he proposed to me, I already started to explore around to make sure I'm mentally and financially prepared for the big day.

And since the day we announced to our family, I know there is no turning back or I should say we should start to plan towards our commitment either to both of us, or to our family. You know, like something we already said, and cannot break the promises.. Wtf.. what I am saying.. I meant we need to plan la.. start planning at least...

So after few rounds of discussion, we decide to choose Putrajaya JPN for our ROM. Why, because few of our friends recommend it for its nice room decoration (at least doesn't looks like a dull room with a table and few chairs, not nice for photoshoot isn't). And most importantly, it is open on Saturday! Yuhuuu!! Hopefully, could involve all my beloved friends and beloved family members to be the witness of my big day.

After choosing the venue, the DATE! uhhh~ headache part.. Originall we decided to choose our Annivessary date as ROM date which is on 6th August, but unfortunately it falls on Monday, which mean my beloved friends and family members need to take leave .. Aduh *again*.. After discuss and discuss and discuss... we decided to choose 11th August 2012, Saturday. I guess August 11th not that bad also isn't? At least it's not 13th .. or 4th... lolx!

Next, I started to explore around the hairdo for my newly cutted-hair... Now started to feel regret of cutting it, or I should blamed him for not proposing to me earlier.. So at least I can have a second thought whether to cut my hair or not..awaiting for my actual wedding day =.="
Now i need to struggle around looking for suitable hair for PIXIE short hair specifically...

Still looking for one suitable one.. Maybe need to hunt for hair accessories liao.. >.<

Next... on the "TO DO" list... the photography for our ROM... I was searching around for a professional photographer to capture the special moment.. Some of them charging RM800, few of them charging RM700... the cheapest that I can source is RM680 for half day shoot, with unlimited photo shoot... Frankly, it's quite costly for our ROM, but thinking it's our special day anyway.. Hallooo.. it's the day when I no longer "single & available" ok! Sure big DAY La! And I want to capture all my friends, family members and my and my future hubby nice nice... But when I tell Vincent about this, his response was "Aiyo.. No need la.. ROM no need engage professional photographer la.. waste money...!"

*sweat**** Maybe it's small matter to you, but it's a big matter to me.. If i really cannot source for cheaper , then might need to get our friend (who own DSLR camera) help then.. Maybe pao a small ang pao to him ... hehehe~ Tobby... You are the only one.. who else can be as pro as you? Hahahhahaah! Or maybe borrow a DSLR camera from friends for the capture.. Bettter than nothing then... If he really think it's not worth to pay RM700 for a professional photographer for capturing the special moments.. =.=""" Or worst to worst I PAY LO =.=" The touch of professional photographer memang different as compare to my normal 10.1 Megapixel camera.. of course with my 1/10000 water pail photoshooting skills...

To be conitnued .... *alot of things to consider..***

Special moment on 30.3.2012

Finally he popped the question of "Will you marry me?" on 30.3.2012.

He made me a video, a video simple video of our photos along with Brueno Mars's song "Will you marry me?".

It starts when we took our leave to settle our house matters, flying here and there to TNB, SYABAS,MPK... it's really tiring and somehow after a long journey, we had a small argument and I throw a tantrum.

But being him, the always him, he being so patient and soft talking to me, apothem me, telling me that no matter how I re-act, how I throw my tantrum, he will always love as he is now.

Then I realize he is the one, he is the one who I want to be with for the rest of my life. Where can I find a man who will not scold me when I reluctant to wake up in the morning, who will not scold me for being lazy cleaning room, who will not scold me for throwing tantrum for small matters.

At that moment, he on his notebook, playing a video, a video of us....... And after around 5 minutes, I saw "I want to ask : Will you marry me?"..

And once I turn back to look at him, he's kneeing on the ground (with two knees; like praying hahahahahahah! Asking; will you marry me?.

Simultaneously, he use his hand to show a love-shaped cover with a diamond ring.... Awwwwww~~~~~

I know he going to pop this question someday near (but never know it will be today when I mengamuk throwing my tantrum! Lolx! He really so dare, and confident I won't be slapping him pop this question at this time, hen fire over my head. LOLX!

Anyway, there here goes the remarkable moment in my life, being proposed. Yes abit simple but after hearing how he spend his time choosing the ring by looking at the forum, hopping from shop to shop, from Lazo Diamod to Wah Chan to
Tomei... Hahahaha!

I buy it and here he goes to be my man of life..."soon" hahaha! Yet to be now.. Lolx, until
He gets me a flower at least! Propose sure got flower de ma... What u think?@.@

Thanks babe, for making my life more lovely with u... Love you forever!

Signing off,
Elaine Tam

Our X'Mas Celebration

This year will be our 2nd year celebrating christmas together gather. This year Christmas abit special as we set some rules, terms & condition.

Golden Rule 1 : Our gift to each other CANNOT exceed RM50! Must be below RM50. Maybe can exceed little bit if to include the wrapping paper and boxes! hahahahahha!

Golder Rule 2 : Must D.I.Y (DO IT YOURSELF) card for each other.
Frankly, I'm quite dissapointed with myself this time, because me being the "creative me", actually ended up cannot think of any creative ideas for this year christmas gift exchange. T_T

I'd crunched my brain, and squeezed all my brain juice to think of what to buy, what to get for him. At the same time, I'm running out of time as I'm quite busy with my schedule recently, and no time to shop at all. But somehow, manage to think of an idea to get him alot... alot of xmas gifts for this time, and at the same time maintaining the limit of RM50. Hmmmmmmm, can't wait to see it? hahahhaahah!!

Ok, before moving ahead with what I've bought him, let's start with our venue for this year. We went to Sakae Sushi, Jusco Bukit Tinggi for a quick supper + gift exchange ceremony. I choose this venue considering we will have our private table (closed area) and we can use this to snap our photos! wwakakkakakak! Nice idea leh~

We purposely choose the most discreet place for our gift exchange knowing he (VINCENT) are ashame type and as expected, he used to always concern whether people are peeping at me, him or us. >.< Anyway, I know he's adapting, and getting better and better, day by day, being influenced by me! hahahahah! Good job babe *tapping my babe's shoulder

I still remember how we celebrated our last year Xmas celebration, we went to Chilis and proceed with gift exchange. I bought him the Bvlgari perfume set, and he bought me BLiv skin care set, which both are quite expensive for Xmas gift exchange. wtf. So thats the reason why we come out with the Golden Rule 1 and Golden Rule 2! heheheheh!

Without realizing, it's been a year passing our last celebration. That's very fast isn't it? This means we are happy without realizing the time passing us like a speedlight! ^_^

:: It's just sooo romantic ::

Celebrity Blogger, Audrey and Nuffnang Boss, Tim always been a high-profile couple in blog world. They have been together I think like 3 years, and both of them known to be the cutie mutie couple. It's been sometime since my last update on their love story, until recently Tim has proposed to Audrey, and guess what.. they were engaged now!!

Even feel more touching after watching this video, it's the video that was being shoot during the proposal. It was just so romantic especially with the song, A Thousand Years sang by Cristina Peri - Soundtrack of Breaking Dawn Part 1. Without knowing, I played their video for more than 5 times. wtf! Keep on repeating, and repeating.

Frankly, I wish I could have the same suprised and sweet proposal from my other half (ya ya.. it's you...!! looking no left and right!) hahahhahahah!!

Don't know why, maybe all the while I memang feel like to marry de.. that's why will have the feeling of rushing to get marry as well after watching people around you also busy taking pre-wedding photos, or attending wedding dinner.. u know.. just like when you feel like to pass motion.. the feeling just come in a splash of seconds.. hahahah!

But sometime the feeling seems to come and go, considering alot of things.... Considering are we really ready for level up our status from single to married, from boyfriend to become husband, from girlfriend to wife! wtf! wife =.=" .. and sooner or later become mummy!!! wtf again....

At the same, there are so many uncertainty now, our house yet to be ready, our financial status yet to reach to a level where we are comfortable to get marry, our relationship stability which I think too fast to think about marry isn't? - a 1 year ++ relationship, do you think it's stable enough to think about wedding? Are we really ready for those? Dang..! too many uncertainty...

But sometime, comments from people seems to make me think again.. My colleague always teasing me, saying that I have the look of wanting to get marry soon... not soon, it's IMMEDIATELY! =.=" And because of that mis-interpretation, make me feel the same or they manage to brainwashed me to think that I AM! wtf!

In conjunction with that, my both sisters already married for sometime, and expecting their 3rd kids very soon. >.< And i'm still dangling with my life, without husband, without kids at age of 27...errrrr...28 in another week. never never imagine what will be the life after getting marry becoming a wife, or maybe lazy wife! hahahah!

I met into the "ONE" a year ago, and with the blessing from GOD, proudly to announce that we are together as one now. He is a very good boyfriend, he is trying his best to satisfy me as his girlfriend, no matter in helping me in doing the house-core for me, spending his time with me, holding my hand no matter where he go, being with me when I need it the most. And I think he should be the one, Vincent should be the one. *kekekkekeke*

*playing the video again now*... The song is just so romantic to be played again and again. *melting*. I wish our future proposal will be as romantic as theirs.. :p
